About Michael

Michael has been working, and saying yes to opportunity, since his very first job, which ended only because he was too young for a work permit. That early start sparked a lifelong pattern, lean in, try things, and turn every experience into curiosity and insight.

With nearly 38 years across diverse industries, and 28 years in higher education career development, Michael brings a rare blend of real world perspective and strategic expertise. He’s known for helping people see possibilities others miss, and for crafting creative, actionable paths to meaningful work.

His career spans hundreds of roles, projects, and employer partnerships, giving him a deep understanding of how hiring really works, and how to help clients navigate their journey with confidence.

At home or out on adventures, Michael enjoys solving creative challenges with his son, trading humor with his daughter, and keeping up with his wife’s passions for cooking, travel, and gardening. He embraces the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, the outdoors, great food, wine, cider, the occasional home project, and creating and fostering radical hospitality with friends and family.

He holds a B.A. in Film from the University of Oregon, an M.A. in Counseling from George Fox University, is a Master Career Development Professional, and has successfully completed a 30 hour Coaching Certification Institute.

Michael’s experience tells a story. He has been everything from career director, youth & family counselor, business consultant, and Nike sports marketing manager, to a wine ambassador, school teacher, television news-photographer, and university and minor league baseball team mascot.

That breadth is exactly what he brings to his clients, perspective, creativity, and a deep belief that your one precious and complex and robust life journey is unique to you! Wonder it, discover it, collaborate with others, create it, and live your life with meaning and purpose.
